Kitchen Assistants-Hills are Alive - Miywasin Society

Position description:
Assist in the kitchen during the Hills are Alive event, at the Elkwater location. Volunteer activities include prepping food, assisting with cooking, and serving meals, washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness of dining area, general clean up in and throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Performing duties for breakfast, lunch and dinner servings.

Time commitment:
June 10 - 13, 2010 Times: Breakfast 7:00 am - 11:00 pm Lunch 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Supper 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Skills volunteer would practice/acquire:
Able to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment. Able to follow directions. Able to stand for long periods of time. Some walking required. Able to lift moderately heavy items. Able to complete a Criminal Records & Child Welfare Check, completion of a Miywasin Society volunteer application form. (forms provided by the Miywasin Society for those individuals interested in the volunteer application process)

Training provided:
Supervision provided.
